Sanlorenzo Asia, represented by Simpson Marine, is delighted to announce the sale of the first
SL96 Asymmetric in Asia into
Hong Kong. The
SL96A made its debut at the
2020 Düsseldorf Boat Show, and has been well received around the world with several units already sold. This exciting news follows the sale of the first
SL102 Asymmetric into Hong Kong earlier in 2020. As these orders demonstrate,
Sanlorenzo’s innovative asymmetric models have proved to be an immediate success story for the shipyard, with their popularity strongly confirming the yard’s ambitions in creating new and forward-thinking concepts and ideas within the yachting industry.
The
SL96 Asymmetric, like its bigger sister the
SL102 Asymmetric, has been
created with the aim of making the most of interior spaces and better connections with the outside world. The design of the
SL96 Asymmetric rethinks the canonical layout of a yacht, retaining only the side decks on the starboard side and eliminating the port side one, which is carried on the roof of the superstructure. This allows 10sqm of surface space to be recovered to the benefit of the interior. An asymmetric layout is something that had never been tried before, but has quickly proven itself on the market as it offers more space, brightness, relaxation and better flexibility of use when compared to traditional yacht layouts.
The concept of asymmetry on a yacht is the result of Sanlorenzo bringing together different minds and types of creativity. From an original idea by Chris Bangle, the ingenious car designer, to the yard’s internal technicians and designers, to Bernardo Zuccon, the bright Italian architect, it is the result of an impressive combination of design brilliance. We feel very proud to see that the Asymmetric concept has been so well received in Asia, with more projects to be finalised in the near future,” says Nick Stratton,
Sanlorenzo Asia Sales Manager. “Scheduled for summer delivery in 2021, together with the SL102A, this newly sold SL96A will be a beautiful addition to the fast expanding Sanlorenzo fleet in Hong Kong and a great testimony of the shipyard’s ingenious ideas, bespoke execution and owner-centric design approach. The unique ideas introduced by Sanlorenzo all have one common goal: to make better use of space and enable owners to enjoy their time on board in maximum comfort, harmony and safety.
2020 has proved to be a fantastic year for Sanlorenzo in Asia with eight Sanlorenzo yachts commissioned within the first eight months of the year, and many more to come. It is rewarding to see that Sanlorenzo’s owner-focused approach and their fully made to measure yachts are now well known here in Asia, and have rightly gained the attention of the most demanding and discerning clients.”
Also expected to arrive into Asia early next year is the
44Alloy and the first
SD96. The next chance to view Sanlorenzo yachts in Asia will be at the
Hong Kong International Yacht Show in November 2020, where a dedicated Sanlorenzo Asia team will be available to present a selection of the yard’s line up including the
SX76, the
SL86 and the
Bluegame BGX70, which will be making its Asian premiere.
